**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing preventative maintenance on various industrial equipment and ensuring all systems conform to engineering designs and internal specifications. This role requires a hands-on approach and the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase.
**Responsibilities**
+ Perform preventative maintenance on all industrial equipment including conveyors, hydraulics, pneumatics, welding (arc/heli-arc), gearboxes/drives, valves/pumps, federal fillers, N8 fillers.
+ Troubleshoot and repair electrical systems up to 480V, 3-phase, and interpret electrical drawings.
+ Direct and coordinate assembly, fabrication, and installation activities to ensure equipment and systems meet engineering designs and specifications.
+ Interpret specifications, blueprints, and job orders to workers and assign duties accordingly.
+ Ensure compliance with all company policies, plant rules, and regulations.
+ Report and take necessary action to prevent food safety and food quality problems.
+ Inspect and measure parts to detect wear, misalignment, or other issues.
+ Realign and adjust functional components and control instruments.
+ Locate and repair damaged air and liquid hydraulic pipes, lines, or wires.
+ Set up and operate metalworking tools for repair or creation of existing parts.
+ Follow and understand schematic flowcharts and technical manuals.
+ Adhere to GMP's, SOP's, and SSOP's.
+ Install equipment for new electrical services (120V, 240V, and 480V 3-phase) including wiring, conduit, panels, breakers, contactors, relays, timers, and controls.
+ Perform electrical troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair work; install or replace circuit breakers, fuses, and variable speed drives.
**Essential Skills**
+ Minimum 3 years of skilled industrial maintenance experience.
+ Experience with preventative maintenance and repairs of production and processing equipment.
+ Proficiency in hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, and mechanical systems.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints and electrical drawings.
+ Experience with engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and utility related equipment.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Training/experience in single and three phase industrial electricity and control systems AC/DC drive systems.
+ Knowledge of pneumatics/hydraulics systems.
+ Expertise in welding practices and techniques.
+ Familiarity with machining/fabricating practices and techniques.
+ Understanding of industrial boiler operations.
+ Knowledge of water treatment and HVAC systems.

**Work Environment**
You will be working in a dairy manufacturing environment which includes clean rooms, production facilities, large cooler warehouses, and receiving bays. The work can be wet and cold at times.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Menands, New York.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
