Duties/Responsibilities include:

Works safely and complies with all mill safety policies. Completes yearly safety training. Performs preventive maintenance work on equipment, documenting any findings. Supports regular machine maintenance as assigned. Repairs broken equipment quickly and efficiently. Performs equipment rebuild work as assigned. Collaborates with managers to recommend any potential improvements. On-Call responsibilities shared with other maintenance mechanics Performs other related duties or projects as assigned.

Required Skills/Abilities:

Mechanically inclined with great problem-solving skills. Technical Knowledge Hydraulic & Pneumatic systems Pumps Bearings/Rotating Equipment Equipment Rebuilds (pumps, bearings, etc.) Rigging SAP experience a plus Pulp & Paper experience a plus Works well independently and with others. Good communication skills. Organized with attention to detail. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience:

2 years industrial mechanical maintenance work experience Some vocational or community college with related coursework, a plus

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods standing and walking. Able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move as needed to reach, clean, and service machinery. Must be able to visually inspect machines. Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
