Job Description
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing daily preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment, installing new equipment, and troubleshooting machinery issues. You will work closely with operators and management to address daily needs and ensure the smooth operation of our facility. Your role will include maintaining and repairing motors, drives, PLC systems, and various foodservice production equipment.
ResponsibilitiesPerform daily preventive maintenance and repairs on all equipment.Install new equipment.Determine parts needed for repairs.Communicate effectively with operators and management about daily needs.Fill out reports of problems or parts ordering.Operate band saws, drill presses, grinders, and other shop tools properly.Keep work area clean and organized.Troubleshoot issues with plant machinery.Repair molds and follow appropriate setup procedures.Replace or repair bearings and related parts.Make minor wiring repairs.Create fabrications from drawings.Make repairs in high locations and enclosed areas.Perform welding in various positions and locations.Replace equipment parts with proper instructions and tools.Start or jog equipment to perform maintenance tasks.Order minor parts.Work with operators and supervisors to solve machinery problems.Perform all maintenance on equipment and tools within specified safety requirements.Attend safety meetings and abide by all safety rules set forth by company and governmental regulatory agencies.Ensure hazardous conditions are reported and corrected.Maintain regular attendance.Essential SkillsTroubleshootingMaintenance technician skillsMechanical repairHydraulicsPreventive maintenanceWeldingPLC troubleshootingExperience with conveyorsAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience with weldingKnowledge of PLC systemsMechanical knowledgeExperience with conveyorsWhy Work Here?

Work Environment
Plant environment with loud noise and exposure to dust. Works in high, precarious places and near moving mechanical parts. Exposure to extreme temperatures (non-weather conditions) and vibration. Mandatory use of personal protective equipment (PPE).

This is a Contract to hire position based out of Meridian, Idaho.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
