Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Technician** **Job Description** Perform preventative maintenance, normal maintenance, and emergency repairs on plant equipment including conveyors, slicing, labeling, and packaging equipment. Fabricate and install various pieces of equipment and rebuild equipment as necessary, including machining and fabricating. Perform pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, electronic installations, and repairs with other mechanics. Conduct all tasks in a safe and efficient manner, ensuring the production of quality products and continuous improvement. This position also holds accountability for Q-RMP standards as outlined in the Claussen Woodstock Accountability document. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative, normal, and emergency maintenance on plant equipment. + Fabricate, install, and rebuild equipment as necessary. + Conduct pipe fitting, plumbing, electrical, and electronic installations and repairs. + Ensure all tasks are performed safely and efficiently. + Ensure the production of quality products and continuous improvement. + Adhere to Q-RMP standards as outlined in the accountability document. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Mechanical + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Preventive maintenance **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Proficiency in using electrical test equipment supplied by the company. + Familiarity with high voltage electrical panels and equipment. + Capability in welding with arc, TIG, and MIG welding equipment. + Working knowledge of lathe and milling machine operations. + Ability to read calipers and micrometers. + Experience in changing, repairing, and wiring electrical motors operating on 460/230 volts, 3-phase power. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy 10 paid company holidays and 3 paid sick days. Work in a foods/GMP environment with mandatory use of hair nets, hard hats, safety glasses, ear plugs, steel toes, and smocks. Certain areas of the plant are refrigerated or temperature-controlled, and there may be a slight smell of vinegar. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Woodstock, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $30.00/hr.
