Beacon Hill is seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical systems in a manufacturing environment, specifically in the food and beverage industry. This position plays a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all machinery and equipment, contributing to the overall efficiency and safety of our production facility.

Key Responsibilities:Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on all production equipment, conveyors, mixers, pumps, and other machinery.Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and electrical issues, ensuring minimal downtime and swift resolution of problems.Inspect and maintain the facility's heating, ventilation, air conditioning (HVAC), plumbing, and electrical systems.Support the installation, calibration, and testing of new equipment as needed.Follow company and industry safety protocols, including compliance with food safety standards.Work closely with other team members and departments to ensure efficient production processes.Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation for all equipment repairs and services performed.Assist with the training and mentoring of junior staff or apprentices.Participate in continuous improvement efforts, including implementing preventive maintenance plans to extend equipment lifespan and improve performance.Requirements:Experience in the food and beverage industry is highly preferred.Proven experience as a Maintenance Mechanic or similar role in an industrial/manufacturing setting.Solid understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and automation.Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.Knowledge of food safety regulations and sanitation standards (e.g., HACCP, FDA, USDA).Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.Excellent communication and teamwork skills.Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and on-call hours as needed.Preferred Qualifications:Certification in industrial maintenance or related fields (e.g., HVAC, electrical).Experience with PLCs (Programmable Logic Controllers) and automated systems.Familiarity with predictive and preventive maintenance programs.Physical Requirements:Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.Comfortable working in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment.Ability to stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.Why Join Us?Competitive salary and benefits package.Opportunities for growth and advancement in a thriving industry.A supportive and collaborative work environment.Comprehensive training programs to ensure success in the role.
