Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a 1st shift maintenance mechanic to perform preventative maintenance (PMs) and repairs on CNC machines (lathes) and punch presses. You will primarily work in the tool room, but also on the production side. **Responsibilities** + Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on CNC machines (lathes) and punch presses. + Troubleshoot PLCs, AC/DC motors, VFDs, gearboxes, and sensors. + Work with electrical systems ranging from 120V to 480V. + Wire and install new machines as needed. + Work directly with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Perform mechanical diagnostics. + Schedule and plan repairs. + Read and interpret blueprints and schematics. **Essential Skills** + 3-5 years of maintenance experience within an industrial environment. + Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems. + Electrical skills, including the ability to diagnose and troubleshoot PLCs and VFDs. + Proficiency with AC/DC motors and systems up to 480V. + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Experience with troubleshooting CNC machines or presses. + Knowledge of preventive maintenance, welding, industrial fabrication, and heavy equipment. + Mechanical aptitude and experience in maintenance repair and assembly. **Why Work Here?** Enjoy tuition reimbursement and a great culture where everyone knows each other and helps out when needed. **Work Environment** This is a job shop that is very clean and climate-controlled. The dress code is jeans, steel-toed shoes, and a t-shirt. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Broadview, Illinois. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $35.00/hr.
