Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The maintenance mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting, cleaning, and maintaining equipment in accordance with manufacturer’s specifications. This role also involves performing root-cause analysis for all mechanical equipment. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot, clean, and maintain equipment according to manufacturer's specifications. + Perform root-cause analysis for mechanical equipment. + Repair CNC machines and perform machine maintenance. + Conduct preventive maintenance and mechanical assembly. + Maintain cleanliness of machines and the facility. + Collaborate closely with the engineering team. + Conduct PLC maintenance and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. + Interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layouts. + Troubleshoot electrical wiring, relay logic, control, and safety circuits. + Perform basic diagnostic and troubleshooting work; all repairs will be handled by an outside contractor. **Essential Skills** + Experience in CNC machine repair and maintenance. + Proficiency in diagnosis and preventive maintenance. + Mechanical assembly skills. + Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic, and electrical systems. + Experience with PLC maintenance. + Ability to interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, blueprints, and layouts. + Strong troubleshooting skills. + Ability to work closely with engineering teams. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Maintain cleanliness of machines and general upkeep of the building (bathrooms, conference rooms, offices, etc.). + Ability to prioritize workload and work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment. + Ability to discuss technical problems with managers and engineers. + Specific vision abilities required include close vision. + Regular attendance and ability to work cooperatively and professionally with others. **Why Work Here?** There is significant growth potential in this role, with the maintenance manager expected to retire in the next 2-3 years, providing opportunities for advancement. **Work Environment** This role involves working closely with CNC Setup Operators, CNC Programmers, and Engineers. The position reports to the Manufacturing Manager. The work environment is fast-paced, requiring the ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities under pressure. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of North Haven, Connecticut. **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
