Your Role at KIK

Join our team as a Maintenance Mechanic, where you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring the optimal performance of machinery and equipment. Responsibilities include inspecting, testing and monitoring equipment, conducting repairs and replacements.  You’ll be a key contributor to the success of our plant.  Bring your expertise and tools to a dynamic environment that values efficiency, safety, and continuous improvement. This position has an hourly rate which is based on experience and skill set. This role offers a competitive pay starting at $38.00 per hour, based on experience and skills. What You’ll Be Doing

Inspects, monitors, and tests machinery and equipment.Dismantles defective machines and equipment and installs new or repaired parts.Cleans and lubricates shafts, bearings, gears, and other parts of machinery.Assembles, installs, and maintains pipe systems and related hydraulic and pneumatic equipment, repairs and replaces gauges, valves, pressure regulators, and related equipment.Develops sufficient understanding of all machinery used in the production process to ensure proper functioning procedures.Adheres to all safety rules and regulations and maintains good housekeeping in all related areas.Performs line changeovers to different products, including set-up of dilution system to proper specs.Notifies Maintenance Manager or Maintenance Supervisor of any equipment problems.  As well as analyzing and resolving equipment problems or assisting others in solving problems in a helpful and timely manner.

What You’ll Bring

High school diploma or GED required2+ years of experience installing, repairing and maintaining industrial equipment in a manufacturing environment or equivalent combination of education and experienceAbility to work in an industrial, non-climate-controlled environment and navigate stairs, ladders, and confined spaces while using appropriate safety equipmentExcellent communication, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skillsStrong attention to detail, with the ability to multitask and manage multiple priorities effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentStrong mechanical background preferred, but not required

Physical Requirement: 

Occasionally exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force (up to 1/3 of the time).Frequently applying 10 to 25 pounds of force (from 1/3 to 2/3 of the time).Constantly exerting greater than negligible force, up to 10 pounds (2/3 or more of the time) for moving objects.Must have the ability to perform the following: Climbing, Balancing, Stooping, Kneeling, Crouching, Crawling, Reaching, Handling, Feeling, Seeing, Hearing
