Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the preventative and emergency maintenance of machinery. This role requires assisting in training apprentices and supporting co-workers as needed. A strong mechanical ability and a comprehensive understanding of electrical and mechanical installation and repair are essential. **Responsibilities** + Troubleshoot and repair electrical problems in machines, read schematics. + Ensure proper electrical functioning of plant equipment and machinery. + Perform preventative maintenance and overhaul equipment as needed. + Install, test, and inspect machines and equipment. + Oversee repairs performed by apprentices or technicians when necessary. + Troubleshoot, determine appropriate repairs, and replace defective parts as needed. + Maintain machinery and mechanical equipment. + Maintain a safe and clean work environment. + Regular and predictable attendance, ability to safely perform tasks, and adherence to all safety policies and procedures are essential. + Demonstrate mechanical proficiency for hydraulic and pneumatic systems, and AC/DC electrical motors and drives. + Adjust, reset, repair, or replace adjustable components (belts, chains, cables) and wearing components (guides, bearings, wheels, rollers, pulleys). + Maintain and troubleshoot motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders, etc. + Clean, lubricate, and calibrate equipment. + Use appropriate job plans, procedures, and manuals. **Essential Skills** + Electrical troubleshooting + Hydraulics + AC/DC motors + Pneumatics + Maintenance repair + Troubleshooting + Understanding of A/C & D/C voltage + Working knowledge of 120/240/480 AC Voltage + Maintaining and troubleshooting motors, photo eyes, relays, proximity sensors, solenoids, motor starters, tachometers, encoders + Adjusting, resetting, repairing, or replacing adjustable and wearing components + AC/DC electrical motors and drives + Preventative maintenance + Blueprint reading + PLC troubleshooting + 3 phase systems + Welding **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Completed formal apprenticeship or equivalent training and experience + Basic math and reading skills **Why Work Here?** Enjoy a dynamic and supportive work environment with opportunities for professional growth. The role involves working with various technologies and equipment in a well-maintained facility. **Job Type & Location** This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Azusa, California **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $32.00/hr.
