Maintenance Mechanic
**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of all plant equipment, including mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems. This role requires a high level of troubleshooting skills and the ability to perform preventative maintenance activities to ensure the smooth operation of machinery and equipment. **Responsibilities** + Perform mechanical repair and troubleshooting of belts, pulleys, gearboxes, bearings, chains, etc. + Repair and troubleshoot pneumatic systems including tubing, regulators, air cylinders, and solenoid valves. + Execute work orders using basic computer skills (Windows software). + Apply basic knowledge of electrical motors and pumps (air/electric). + Operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. + Perform setups and changeovers of machinery, ensuring all standard operating procedures are followed accurately. + Reduce downtime associated with lines within the assigned zone. + Identify, report, and correct potential and actual safety issues within the assigned zone. + Confirm the accuracy of all lockout tag out procedures for equipment within the zone. + Maintain and upkeep equipment within the zone, reporting and tracking preventative maintenance activities. + Adjust and maintain low voltage (less than 50V) photo-eyes, sensors, proximity switches, and perform 3-phase wiring and control circuits. + Assist in the installation of machinery. + Maintain and repair pumps, valves, meters, gauges, and piping. + Maintain good housekeeping and regularly clean work areas, machines, and equipment. + Identify and contribute to continuous improvement efforts to reduce costs or increase productivity without reducing effectiveness. + Understand and apply lean manufacturing tools and methodology to collaborate on continuous improvement activities. + Maintain an open and candid working relationship with immediate supervisor/manager in discussing matters of importance. **Essential Skills** + Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience. + Mechanical repair and troubleshooting skills. + Pneumatic system repair and troubleshooting skills. + Basic computer skills (Windows software). + Basic knowledge of electrical motors and pumps. + Heavy equipment operation skills. + Ability to perform setups and changeovers of machinery. + Knowledge of lockout tag out procedures. + Ability to maintain and adjust low voltage photo-eyes, sensors, and proximity switches. + Experience with 3-phase wiring and control circuits. **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Associate's degree or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school is a plus. + Any satisfactory combination of education and experience that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the duties listed. **Why Work Here?** Join a consistently growing company in the automotive industry that promotes from within. The position is for the 1st shift; Monday to Friday, with some mandatory and voluntary Saturdays/Sundays. **Job Type & Location** This is a Permanent position based out of GREENSBORO, North Carolina **Pay and Benefits** The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $65000.00/yr.
