Maintenance Mechanic Job Details Job Location Corporate Offices - Milledgeville, GA Position Type Full Time Education Level High School Description Job Summary:This position is responsible for performing maintenance and repair duties in campus buildings Major Duties: + Maintains plumbing systems by repairing fixtures, pipes, and drainage systems + Performs rough and finished carpentry work. Designs, builds and maintains wooden structure. + Performs masonry work, including repairing walls. + Installs and repairs door locks. + Fabricates and welds parts. + Installs and maintains electrical wiring and fixtures by repairing or replacing switches, lighting receptacles and/or electrical controls. + Assists with repairing and maintenance of heating and air conditioning systems. + Purchases materials needed for maintenance projects. Qualifications + Ability to read, write and perform mathematical calculations at a level commonly associated with the completion of high school or equivalent. Must have a high school diploma or equivalent. + Sufficient experience to understand the basic principles relevant to the major duties of the position usually associated with the completion of an apprenticeship/internship or having had a similar position for one to two years. + Must have a valid driver’s license.
