**Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
Regularly monitor, examine, and check the operation of all forklifts and vehicles, troubleshooting any electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic issues. Perform preventative maintenance on all machinery and equipment using hand or power tools and testing equipment. Conduct building maintenance tasks, including painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work, and more. Manage fleet maintenance and document all preventive and corrective measures taken.
**Responsibilities**
+ Monitor and troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues on forklifts and vehicles.
+ Perform minor repairs and maintenance on incoming and outgoing trucks.
+ Conduct preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment using hand or power tools.
+ Perform building maintenance tasks such as painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical, lighting, and floor repair.
+ Coordinate and inspect work done by contractors on building mechanical systems, including emergency generators, electrical, fire suppression systems, plumbing, landscaping, janitorial, HVAC, and fire and security alarms.
+ Document all preventative, predictive, and maintenance measures taken.
+ Identify and research replacement parts, including prices, specifications, and warranty status.
+ Clean and lubricate machinery parts as necessary.
+ Repair or replace defective machinery or parts.
+ Operate forklifts safely and efficiently.
+ Ensure all safety equipment is present and in proper working order.
+ Follow all company safety practices and rules.
+ Document work performed and observe all safety protocols.
+ Perform general interior maintenance tasks such as hanging pictures, repairing office furniture, doors, flooring, walls, and railings.
+ Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials.
+ Complete various tasks related to painting, carpentry, flooring, and cabinetry.
+ Ensure work is performed efficiently with minimal disruption.
+ Complete hazard assessments as necessary.
+ Assist in the warehouse as needed.
+ Support property activities, including setup and takedown for special events.
+ Maintain a safe, clean, and unobstructed work environment for employees, customers, and vendors.

**Work Environment**
Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 4:30pm. The role involves working both indoors and outdoors, handling electrical equipment for construction, and performing heavy lifting. You will work independently.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of San Diego, California.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
