**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for repairing and operating various equipment, including forklifts, packaging machines, scales, commercial baking ovens, conveyor systems, and HVAC units. Additionally, you will be expected to learn to maintain and repair any new equipment purchased in the future. **Responsibilities** + Repair and operate forklift trucks, bagger-packaging machines, Ishida weigh scales, Toledo scales, commercial baking ovens, flour handling systems, and commercial mixers. + Maintain and operate various types of conveyor systems, natural gas systems, HVAC units, metal detectors, emergency fire systems, pumps, compressors, pneumatic systems, chain drives, belt lacing and stitching, printing units, Marsh tapers, gear boxes, and electrical motors. + Utilize hand tools, welders, plasma cutters, power tools, and shop tools for maintenance and repair tasks. + Perform general preventive maintenance, repair, and sanitation duties. + Work with scaffolding, ladders, forklifts, roofs, and in confined spaces and excessively hot areas. + Lift and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly. + Maintain the plant and equipment to strict standards of cleanliness and safety in a food environment. + Place parts orders and organize maintenance stock rooms and storage facilities. + Train other employees on equipment or procedures when requested. **Essential Skills** + Troubleshooting + Maintenance technician + Electrical + Mechanical + Repair + Hydraulics + Pneumatics + Welding + Blueprint reading + Schematic reading + PLC troubleshooting + Hand tool usage + Heavy equipment operation + Fabrication **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Comfortable working with scaffolding, ladders, forklifts, roofs, and heights up to 50 feet. + Experience working in confined spaces and excessively hot areas. + Ability to lift and pull up to 50 pounds repeatedly. + Familiarity with maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in a food manufacturing environment. + Ability to organize maintenance stock rooms and storage facilities. + Capability to train other employees on equipment or procedures. **Why Work Here?** Join a small, close-knit team where everyone is involved in production, including the General Manager who is actively engaged on the floor.
