In our Upstate New York headquarters, we house some of the most advanced equipment available to produce new and unique components for the jewelry industry. We have an immediate opening for a skilled Maintenance Mechanic. This position is responsible for minimizing downtime of production equipment by performing regular and emergency maintenance as needed on all equipment. Maintenance to include installation, preventative maintenance, testing, troubleshooting, diagnostics and repairs. This position will also serve as a liaison between department supervisors and the Tool & Die technicians regarding die repair and maintenance to facilitate timely repairs. Additional responsibilities will include: + Plan, coordinate and execute repairs and preventive maintenance for production equipment. + Perform facility maintenance as needed throughout the building + Follow industry best practices and safety policies such as LOTO procedure and SOP’s. + Maintain complete, accurate and up to date maintenance records. + Coordinate delivery and installation of new equipment. + Performing responsibilities with little or no supervision or instruction. Required Skills/Education/Experience needed to be successful in the position: + Proven technical skills in industrial electric and mechanical maintenance + Advance knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery and hydraulics. + Ability to read blueprints, drawings and diagrams. + Excellent communication skills + Effective problem solving skills + Proficient computer skills + Excellent time management skills + Ability to maintain written repair and preventive maintenance records. + Certificate or degree applicable to trade/strong mechanical aptitude/knowledge. This is a full time position with benefits with normal working hours of 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. M-F.
