**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
As a Maintenance Mechanic, you will be responsible for removing, inspecting, repairing, replacing, installing, and maintaining all mechanical equipment, including pumps, compressors, piping, vessels, and structural steel. You will perform tasks in accordance with mechanical integrity procedures, safe work procedures, and written procedures for individual equipment. Additionally, you will engage in general cutting, fit-up, tack welding, and complete welding using various welding and cutting equipment. Collaboration with other crafts to complete repairs and installations is also required.
**Responsibilities**
+ Inspect equipment for defects, misalignment, wear, etc.
+ Install bearings, pins, bushings, gears, and parts.
+ Lubricate equipment for installation and repair.
+ Dismantle, clean, replace, and repair equipment and piping.
+ Make sketches for own use.
+ Handle rigging equipment and erect scaffolds.
+ Operate machine tools and power tools.
+ Advise when shutdown of equipment is necessary.
+ Make temporary and permanent repairs.
+ Adjust equipment for proper operation.
+ Assemble and align gears, bearings, and shafts.
+ Receive instructions, prints, and job orders.
+ Interpret drawings and sketches.
+ Select materials and equipment for the job.
+ Lay out work, make sketches, and determine stock sizes to be used.
+ Clean and prepare surfaces to be welded.
+ Perform gas and electric welding in various positions, making all types and sizes of welds.
+ Build up worn or defective surfaces.
+ Use burning equipment to dismantle equipment.
+ Cut material to size by burning.
+ Perform brazing.
+ Exercise all safety precautions.
+ Make provisions for handling materials and equipment to and from the job site.
+ Keep the working area clean.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Must have industrial experience.
+ Experience with personal protective equipment, written procedures, hand tools, power tools, welding and cutting equipment, drills, grinders, measuring devices, scaffolding, cleaning equipment, lifting equipment, laser alignment equipment, and balancing equipment.
+ Ideal candidates will have prior experience in power plants, gypsum plants, foundries, steel mills, mining, chemical plants, sawmills, or automotive manufacturing.

**Work Environment**
The plant is located in Henderson, NV, and operates in an industrial setting. The environment is unionized, and candidates must be clean-shaven to use a respirator. Initially, you will work a Mon-Fri 7:00 am to 3:30 pm shift during a 3-month probationary period. After this period, you will transition to a 12-hour shift based on availability: Mon-Wed and every other Sunday or Thu-Sat and every other Sunday, with shifts from 4:00 am to 4:00 pm or 4:00 pm to 4:00 am. Shift assignments are based on seniority, and flexibility is required.
**Job Type & Location**
This is a Permanent position based out of Henderson, Nevada.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $74318.40 - $74318.40/yr.
