**Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic Needed Day Shift !** **Job Description** We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic with at least three years of maintenance/electrician experience, including at least two years in a manufacturing environment. The candidate must have the ability to read schematics and experience with PLCs is preferred. A high school diploma or GED, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience is required. The candidate should have a working knowledge of basic safety programs, especially lock-out/tag-out procedures, and principles of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and mechanics. Physical requirements include lifting up to 65 lbs., extended periods of standing, walking, sitting, bending, climbing, and working both indoors and outdoors, sometimes in dusty, hot, and/or cold conditions. Use of fall protection equipment is also necessary. **Responsibilities** + Install, troubleshoot, adjust, and repair equipment, electrical components, and special-purpose machines as assigned. + Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems and determine how to correct them, using blueprints, repair manuals, or parts catalogs as necessary. + Operate a variety of hand and power tools to repair, grease, weld, cut, fabricate, change parts, and complete tasks as assigned. + Inspect drives, motors, and belts, check fluid levels, replace filters, and perform other maintenance actions following checklists. + Perform routine preventive maintenance to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly. + Dismantle equipment to gain access to and remove defective parts using hoists, cranes, hand tools, and power tools. + Operate various equipment and machinery when assigned maintenance tasks are low. **Essential Skills** + Ability to read schematics + Experience with PLCs + High school diploma or GED + Working knowledge of basic safety programs, particularly lock-out/tag-out procedures + Knowledge of hydraulics, pneumatics, electrical, welding, and mechanics + Ability to lift up to 65 lbs. + Ability to work in dusty, hot, and/or cold conditions + Use of fall protection equipment **Additional Skills & Qualifications** + Mechanical aptitude + Experience with troubleshooting, maintenance technician roles, and repair + Knowledge of diesel engines, heavy equipment, and fabrication + Ability to read blueprints and schematics + Proficiency with hand tools and power tools + Experience with preventive maintenance + Ability to think independently and function in a team environment + Proven track record of contributing towards team goals **Why Work Here?** We offer highly competitive base pay, comprehensive medical, dental, and disability benefits programs, a group retirement savings program, and health and wellness programs.
