Maintenance Mechanic (DOT) Temporary Assignment

 Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic (Temporary Assignment)

Job Summary: EMCOR Government Services is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic in Washington, DC. The Maintenance Mechanic performs preventative maintenance functions which include but not limited to filters, cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, rigging, chillers, plate heat exchangers, etc. This a a temporary role lasting approximately 3 months. It is covered by the CBA for Local 99. The schedule is Second shift – 3:00pm to 11:00pm

 Essential Duties and Responsibilities:  

Makes adjustments and repairs to HVAC, plumbing, and electrical; architectural and structural building components; interior and entrance doors and related components; floor systems, roof systems, and windows. Performs preventative maintenance functions which include but not limited to: filters, cooling towers, heating and cooling coils, cleaning floor drains, rigging, chillers, plate heat exchangers, etc. May make repairs and installations from ladders, scaffolding, and platforms.

 

 Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic Must be a US Citizen and able to obtain HSPD-12 Clearance   Must be able and willing to work 2nd Shift 3pm - 11pm                                                       

 Physical Demands

Works with systems and equipment in hard to reach places requiring standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and climbing in tight and uncomfortable positions. Frequently lift, carry, and sets up equipment that weighs .20 pounds. Occasionally may lift items up to 50 pounds. Work is performed inside and outside and is usually dirty and greasy.

Compensation:   $36.49 per hour
