The Maintenance Mechanic is located in the Toronto Pearson International Airport to maintain, upgrade, troubleshoot and repair all HVAC equipment within the Airport and grounds to achieve optimum life span of equipment.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Perform monthly preventative maintenance as directed by the supervisor including:Perform shift tours and log readingsStart up and shut downFilter changingBelt changingPerform minor repairsMajor fan and AHU maintenance and alignmentCompressor maintenanceRespond to emergency trouble calls of a mechanical nature, and support other staff in their tasksAll mechanical maintenance duties

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

Hold a valid Certificate of Qualification for the Province of Ontario and have passed any examination which may be required by the Local 787 Examining Board

WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

Experience in the maintenance of complex mechanical building systems including (but not limited to) heating and cooling systems and their distribution networks, HVAC distribution systems

SKILLS, ABILITIES, AND OTHER REQUIREMENTS
