This position will assist with analysing, troubleshooting, installing, repairing and performing preventive maintenance on machinery, parts and components and providing facility maintenance both mechanically and electrically
Day-to-Day Role:
Understand and comply with OSHA and facility safety procedures including lock-out/tag-out, respirator use, and any other safety program required to perform job duties Complete repairs safely Routinely monitor safety practices and make adjustments when needed to avoid accidents Work with production supervisors so that maintenance work orders are completed safely and on time Use tools ranging from common hand tools and power tools, such as hammers, saws, drills and wrenches, to precision measuring instruments, and electrical and electronic devices Operate PIT, hoist, crane, and aerial lift Communicate with operators to detect equipment problems and to ascertain whether mechanical or human error contributed to the problems Repair, replace or adjust defective equipment parts using hand tools and power tools, and reassemble equipment Assemble, install or repair wiring, electrical or electronic components, machinery or equipment Perform preventive maintenance tasks, such as checking, cleaning, or repairing equipment to detect and prevent problems to ensure that machines continue to run smoothly and operate efficiently Provide efficient/timely service of machinery and equipment allowing production schedules to be met Completes assignments under direct supervision from other techs Promote good employee relations and high morale Demonstrate teamwork and respect by working constructively with co-workers to achieve the best results possible Follow all safety rules and procedures to ensure a safe working environment All other duties assigned by the supervisor or department manager
