Qualifications

Minimum Education

Complete four (4) years apprentice or technical training in trade field installations, repair and maintenance.Desired: Five (5) years or more as a practicing journeymen or technical training.

Licensure / Certifications

Journeyman card for trade or equivalent on the job work experience

Minimum Experience

Five (5) years experience in institutional environment as a practicing trades person and general knowledge of other maintenance.Desired: Five (5) years experience with in a health care facility.

Physical Requirements

Physical Requirements Requires lifting of 50 lbs. maximum. Frequent lifting and/or carrying of objects up to 25 lbs. Frequent use of stairs both up and down, along with climbing ladders, is required. Perceiving the nature of sound by ear for both communication of problems and diagnostics associated with pending equipment failure. Must have the ability to detect differences in color. Must be able to read, interpret and follow policies and procedures pertaining to Plant Engineering in a professional manner. Must be able to perform verbal and written interaction with fellow employees and other departments. All job requirements listed indicate the minimum level of knowledge, skills and/or ability deemed necessary to perform the job proficiently. Summary

To provide quality maintenance trade support of the facilities, utilities and equipment components in support of the hospital wide safety and utility management program. Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
