Pay:

$39.06/hour

$2,500 sign on bonus!

Paid relocation offered for this position!

Shift:

Monday - Friday.

6:45am - 3:00pm

Overtime as needed!

Essential Duties

Complete the safety training required for Mechanic III.

Within the MAXIMO Asset Management Software, develop work order details, and add supporting documentation, reports, test plans, & schedules.

Adheres to all plant safety and environmental guidelines, policies, and procedures while actively participating in the safety program.

Advanced knowledge of lubrication for plant equipment.

Advanced knowledge of vibration analysis.

Advanced knowledge of infrared thermography and ultrasound analysis.

Advanced knowledge of job plans for lubrication, vibration analysis, infrared thermography, and ultrasound.

Direct knowledge of optimum lube inventory levels and track usage.

Maintains proper lube storage, including 5S standard storage location.

Creates and prioritizes corrective work orders based on inspection while performing tasks.

Performs root-cause failure analysis.

Understands how to follow mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and P&ID drawings, sketches, plans, layouts, and instructions.

Understands how to start up and shut down production equipment.

Identify equipment parts & procure them from the store room.

Direct knowledge of how each segment of the manufacturing process works.

Maintains good housekeeping standards in all work areas.

Develops the continued improvement of production equipment, operation, process, safety, and maintenance programs in conjunction with Operations.

Develops preventative and predictive maintenance procedures.

Operates Fork Trucks & Man Lifts.

Troubleshoots, installs, aligns, dismantles, repairs, and maintains industrial machinery, mechanical equipment, pneumatic systems, hydraulic equipment, and utility equipment (air compressors, hot oil systems, water, natural gas, emergency generator, etc.)

Installs and repairs mechanical drives, pumps, fans, chains, sprockets, gearboxes, belts, and couplings.

Advanced welding skills using oxy-acetylene, MIG, TIG, & arc welding processes. Welding certification required.

Tests performance of repaired equipment and communicates results with operators.

Adjusts functional parts of the equipment and control instruments.

Performs daily preventative maintenance on the equipment, facility, infrastructure, & utilities.

Ensures equipment/plant safety devices are operational.

Maintains accurate maintenance logs including labor hours and critical preventive maintenance findings.

Uses pipefitting skills to weld, cut, fit, maintain, and install piping throughout the facility.

Uses problem-solving methods to identify the root cause and eliminate failures.

Has a working knowledge and understanding of HAZMAT, MSDS, EPA, OSHA, NEC, and NFPA requirements.

Attends Operations meetings to catalog current maintenance issues.

Performs periodic proactive asset strategies, such as maintenance routes, preventative maintenance, and other tasks to improve reliability and uptime.

Direct knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance strategies.

Ability to perform basic electrical tasks. Wiring of three-phase motors, troubleshooting and replacement of a variety of sensors, etc.

Strong knowledge of instrumentation and controls or equipment and utilizing this knowledge to maintain and troubleshoot equipment. Temperature, pressure, photo eyes, proximity switches, etc.

Introduction to Allen Bradley ControLogix 5000 software (in a view-only mode) to assist the electrician in troubleshooting, repairing, & maintaining the instrument/electrical, control, & communication systems.

Introduction to Allen Bradley Drive Tools software to assist the electrician in maintaining, installing, configuring, setting up parameters, and establishing communication with VFDs.

Promotes the development of the Operator Interface software (Wonderware) for maintenance, machine health, and reliability.
 

General knowledge/skills

Competent with the use of Personal Computers, with sound understanding and utilization of Google APPS, and MAXIMO Asset Management Software.

Thorough knowledge and understanding of Arc Flash and electrical PPE requirements.

Excellent Observational skills.

Advanced Math.

Troubleshooting skills for mechanical, pneumatic, hydraulic systems, and utility equipment (Air compressors, hot oil system, water, gas, backup generator, etc.)

AC/DC motor repair/replacement for single phase, and 3-phase power.

Maintenance tools used while working on mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and utility systems.

Plumbing repair/replacement.

Sound knowledge of instrument/electrical/control/communication principles.

Repair/replace instruments, and electrical devices.

Knows how to fabricate with metal and the welding process using oxy-acetylene, MIG, TIG, & arc welding tools.

Pump & fan theory, repair, & replacement.

Capable of using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and related measuring equipment.

Comprehension and use of technical manuals.

SPC (statistical process control) charts, graphs, and data for better reliability.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Able to work under limited supervision and self-motivated.

Excellent organization skills.

Ability to work well with others at all levels of the organization.

Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.

At least 3 years working experience in an industrial manufacturing environment in a maintenance role
