Position Responsibilities
Maintains, troubleshoots and repairs mechanical equipment and systems such as motors, pumps, pneumatic tube, plumbing systems, sanitary systems, specialized water systems, medical gas outlets, plumbing fixtures, blowers, and fansMaintains, troubleshoots and repairs by diagnosing trouble, repairing, and replacing parts or taking necessary corrective actionAssists in department deep maintenance, refreshing, and modification projectsConducts routine to specialized preventive maintenance and performs routine to specialized equipment safety checksKnowledgeable of all tools required for maintenance: tape measure, knife, saws, trowels, caulk guns, brushes, hand tools, electrical meter, toilet and sink auger, drills, sanders, ladders, etcCoordinates and advises other departments, contractors, and staff for department projects and maintenanceProvides direction to outside contractors on critical mechanical and electrical equipment, finishes, and systemsVerifies repairs and service are complete and satisfactoryReports unsafe conditions to department leadership in all casesKnowledgeable of support resourcesMaintain neat, clean, and organized work areasQualifications
Possession of a valid Florida Driver License with no more than 3 points preferredHigh School Gradate or equivalent experience.Knowledge, skills, and abilities required to perform this job are typically acquired through a minimum of five years progressively responsible experience in healthcare facilities maintenance. Advanced Knowledge and demonstrated proficiency in electricity, plumbing, HVAC, steam fitting, soldering, carpentry, or fabricating. Demonstrated leadership skills such as delegation, managing multiple priorities, and critical decision making. Advanced knowledge of applicable codes/regulations pertaining to assigned operations. Basic computer skills. Excellent interpersonal, communication, and time management skills. Demonstrated ability to work independently and to problem solve.Benefits
