Position Title:

Maintenance Mechanic C

 

Pay Rate:

$27.05 per hour (+ shift differential if applicable)

 

Sign on Bonus:       

$500 after 30 days,

$500 after 6 months,

$500 after 1 year and an additional bonus at 2 years

 

Category/Shift:

Hourly Full-Time.

-Must be willing to work overtime and weekends as needed; significant overtime may be needed during busy periods.

The Job You Will Perform:

Adhere to all safety rules and practices and maintain a safe work area.  Identify unsafe conditions and report to supervision. Maintain safe work environment by verifying safety device operation; following standards and procedures; complying with legal regulations. Perform maintenance functions including repairs in electrical, mechanical, hydraulic breakdowns, lubrication, welding and cutting with minimal supervision.  Troubleshoot diagnosis and repair faulty equipment in a timely manner under the guidance of the maintenance supervisor/lead. Listen to operator's description of malfunction; conducting tests; identifying problem and resolution.  Respond to notifications entered by employees.  Provide training in areas of expertise or knowledge. Assist in maintaining and receiving required inventory levels of parts as prescribed my MPS coordinator.  Evaluate new and proposed equipment by examining capabilities and conducting tests. Enter and complete work orders in SAP to include time and materials.  Maintain tools in proper working condition, including hand and power tools. Perform other duties as assigned by the maintenance supervisor or designee.  Work well in a team based unsupervised environment. Assist with preventative maintenance program; participate in quality improvement program and comply with company quality systems and support audits.  Support implementation of new equipment and facility improvements. Operate plant emergency system and serve on Plant Emergency Team.  Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications. Accomplish maintenance team and organization mission by completing related results as needed while maintaining housekeeping standards.

 

The Skills You Will Bring:

5+ or more years of related production environment experience preferred. Experience and/or knowledge in electrical troubleshooting; PLC, electronics, ARC flash, plumbing, steam/boiler, pneumatics, confined spaces, mobile equipment, Mig, Stick and Tig welding.   Mechanical Journeyman or technical/vocation certification preferred. Must be computer literate and have ability to move through troubleshooting software including service and training manuals and schematics. Ability to adapt to change, problem solve, prioritize work and have effective written and verbal communication skills. Must be able to work with minimal supervision on varied hours/days. Must be able to lift average weighted materials, 50 lbs. Must successfully pass test performed by employer
