We are currently seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Millwright to join our Plastics Division in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical and electrical maintenance, particularly in the plastics manufacturing industry.
Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment in the Plastics Division
– Troubleshoot and repair mechanical and electrical issues in a timely manner
– Conduct preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operation of equipment
– Work closely with production teams to minimize downtime and maximize productivity
– Assist in the installation of new machinery and equipment
– Maintain accurate maintenance records and participate in regular maintenance meetings
Requirements:
Matric – Minimum with Maths and Science passed. Qualified Millwright with at least 3 years relevant experience. Computerised Maintenance Management (CMMS) experience. Experience in using Condition Based Monitoring to prevent breakdowns. Experience in the implementation of Reliability Centred Maintenance. Proven experience as a maintenance millwright Trade qualification in millwrighting or a related field Strong mechanical and electrical skills Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics Experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment Effective problem-solving and troubleshooting skills Excellent attention to detail and accuracy Strong communication and teamwork skills Ability to work independently and take initiativeContact Hire Resolve for your next career-changing move.
