The Maintenance and Operations Support Group supports Field Units in the delivery of the Highway Maintenance Improvement Program (HMIP), Roadway Maintenance Improvement Program (RMIP) and other maintenance programs through the development and delivery of contracts. This position supervises the Maintenance and Operations Support Team in Division 5. This group supports the development and delivery of the Highway Maintenance Improvement Program (HMIP), the Roadway Maintenance Improvement Program (RMIP), Interstate Maintenance Projects, and other programs. The position facilitates routine and emergency maintenance operations and manages maintenance GIS initiatives and inventories. This position works with engineering firms, embedded CEI staff, and DOT staff to develop large culvert replacement projects, resurfacing and preservation contracts, ADA improvements, guardrail installation and improvement projects, spot safety projects, and annual needs contracts. Works with the Division Contract Engineer to coordinate lets, ensure required insurance documentation is secured to issue and renew contracts. The candidate should be experienced in roadway maintenance, preservation, rehabilitation, design and construction for secondary, primary, freeway, and toll facilities including pavements, drainage, safety systems, and vegetation. In coordination with the Division Maintenance Engineer, develops and monitors annual budget for GMR, Resurfacing, Preservation, Bridge Preservation, Roadside, Secondary Construction, and other funds. Coordinates review of WBS element overruns and works with Field Units, Business Officer and Regional Business Officer to manage WBS element funding. Prepares quarterly WBS expenditure projections. This position oversees Maintenance and Operations GIS initiatives. The candidate should have experience in MicroStation, GIS, AMS, and SAP.
