The Opportunity: To support the maintenance manager and maintenance coordinator in the direction, planning and scheduling of work orders through preventive and corrective maintenance part ordering and installation. Support in the maintenance department\u2019s goal of function in the maintenance department in a safe, hazard free work environment while selectively supervising personnel, quality and equipment conditions in a cost-effective manner. * Maintenance Support - Support maintenance technicians\u2019 schedules and activities by working directly with the Maintenance Coordinator through parts inventory management (researching the best value, ordering and stocking). Manages the parts inventory portion of the JDE information database. Overall management of parts inventory and relationships with suppliers to meet production, performance and financial objectives. * Planning and Scheduling - Works directly with the Maintenance Coordinator providing parts availability to aid in the planning of preventative and corrective maintenance work orders. Manages the inventory portion of the JDE to provide asset reliability improvement initiatives and key indicator reports. Using the JDE to assist in preassembling (kitting) parts needed for preventative and corrective maintenance work orders to reduce downtime and aid planning. Support the Maintenance Team through project or work order execution on an as needed basis (vacation coverage or unusually high level of work order activity are examples). * Process Improvement - Organize vendors to integrate their services with asset reliability process. Support asset reliability improvement initiatives with key indicator reports such as part usage and common part issuing frequency. Participate on process improvement teams to drive down downtime and a waste while improving productivity through preventive and predictive maintenance strategies and formats to improve overall asset reliability. Participate/Lead brainstorming sessions with key operators, technicians, and managers using root cause analysis to provide action plans for problem resolution. * Human Resource Development - Support the maintenance manager and coordinator with training materials to support asset reliability initiatives and subsequent maintenance related activities. Support classroom training and shop floor engagement. * Quality and Customer Satisfaction - Support the maintenance activities through purchasing and kitting the correct parts packages for work orders.
