Purpose of Role: The maintenance planner must provide support for Newton’s maintenance and reliability efforts by performing planning, requisitioning of materials and services and coordination of future maintenance plans and projects.

Key Responsibilities:

Schedule Development and Maintenance: Create and maintain robust preventative and predictive maintenance schedules in the CMMS.Cross-Department Collaboration: Work with all departments to convert work requirements into clear, achievable maintenance plans.Maintenance Planning: Plan and prioritize maintenance tasks, shutdowns, and project work in coordination with maintenance, storeroom, and purchasing teams.Job Plan Preparation: Prepare detailed job plans for maintenance activities, including safety instructions and special precautions.Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain maintenance and equipment records; generate compliance reports, track work orders, and analyze labor utilization and equipment costs.Safety First: Demonstrate 100% commitment to our zero harm behaviors in support of our drive towards developing a world class safety Culture.

Job Knowledge/Experience:

5+ years working in a manufacturing environment as a millwright, electrician, or other equivalent technical trade, and/or has experience in a similar roleAbility to read blueprints and some draftingProficient PC operation and experience in (Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Access, Excel, Preventive Maintenance Systems, etc.)Demonstrated strong problem solving and troubleshooting skillsGood organizational skills and demonstrated ability to multi-task

Education:

Maintenance background in both electrical and mechanical tradesPrevious experience with CMMS systems a strong plus (currently EAM)Any equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered for candidates that have the ability to perform the objectives above.
