Overview PepsiCo is on the lookout for a Maintenance Planner to join our team in Cork on a permanent basis. The Technical Function is our team of enabling experts offering knowledge and partnership to functions on specialist subjects including engineering, quality and productivity. As the maintenance planner you will work with the various functions/teams to establish and schedule access to the equipment to perform maintenance work. The maintenance planner is responsible for ensuring that all proactive maintenance activities are planned, scheduled, and tracked in an efficient and effective manner and be able to anticipate potential problems before they arise (defect prevention and avoidable delays) and create a plan of action to address them. The planner will also need to coordinate with various departments, such as operations, engineering, purchasing, finance, etc., on a daily, weekly basis in order to ensure that the right resources are available when needed and disruption to the business is kept to a minimum. Responsibilities Primary Accountabilities: Ensure that all maintenance activities in a facility are well-planned and executed in a timely and cost-efficient manner, responsible for monitoring the stock levels of spare parts and consumable items. Coordinate and oversee orders and deliveries of new stock, check existing inventory and ensure there are sufficient amounts for planned works and emergencies. Work closely with other maintenance personnel as well as operations and engineering teams to schedule regular preventive maintenance, handle emergencies, and conduct inspections of equipment and systems. Developing and managing detailed maintenance schedules and work orders. Maintaining accurate records of maintenance performed, equipment condition, and maintenance costs. Manage work orders, documentation, and assets within the computerised maintenance management system (CMMS) SAP PM. Lead communication between maintenance and other internal beneficiaries of maintenance work to ensure that everyone receives timely, efficient, and quality service. Log and manage incoming maintenance & facilities service-related calls on the site’s computerized maintenance management system. Calls will be issued by phone, email etc. Partner/liaise with the relevant functions, monitor call history and follow up to ensure close out and completion of maintenance & facilities works on site. Scheduling and coordinating the repair and maintenance of facilities and plant equipment across the site. This includes review of method statements, risk assessments, LOTO and issuing of work permits. Qualifications Essential Skills: 3rd level qualification with an Engineering focus/accreditation in any of the following areas: Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Building Services Management etc. and/or equivalent demonstrated experience, working in this capacity. Minimum 5 years engineering/ technical experience in a manufacturing environment working with a computerized maintenance management systems such as SAP PM. Proven maintenance planning experience within a complex operational environment (Manufacturing or Industrial Process). Ability to track and manage ordering of supplies and services. Self-motivated person with the ability to function within a team and alone equally well. Demonstrated experience and/or understanding of Plant maintenance. Solid understanding and experience of Plant and facilities technologies: PLC & SCADA control system. Fire Alarm and fire protection system. Air handling & HVAC system. Boiler and compressed air systems. Computer skills required include MS Office/ Excel/ Powerpoint/MS Teams. Proficient in the use of CMMS such as SAP PM or similar industry standard planning tools and methodologies.
