The primary purpose of the Maintenance Planner Scheduler position will be to plan, schedule and coordinate a broad spectrum of preventive, routine, repair, and emergency maintenance activities. In addition this position supports the manufacturing operation by coordinating all aspects of the tool crib function. This includes counting, identifying, receiving, recording, labeling, and issuing tools or spare parts to maintain an accurate and optimized tool crib inventory to meet manufacturing requirements. Will have the responsibility for ensuring proper tools are procured and available to meet customer demand by maintaining the flow of tooling through the inspection, repair or replacement process to end use within the plant. This position will anticipate and eliminate potential delays in maintenance activities affecting efficient equipment and process operation.
Core Responsibilities
Adheres to all established safety policies and procedures.
Develops work schedules using SAP for planned maintenance activities. Insures adequate resources to complete preventative, predictive, and planned maintenance task are available when required. Audits assignments and resources to ensure repair schedules and performance expectations are met.
Works with Quality Control to schedule process inspections, instrument calibrations and validation assessments along with coordinating project workload.
Maintains accurate equipment records, including follow-up to ensure all labor hours, materials, and necessary notes or procedural changes associated with the work are accurately recorded within SAP, and work is closed in a timely manner.
Communicates directly with MRO Buyer regarding parts required and Inventory levels needed to complete all scheduled Work Orders and PM Orders.
Completes kitting and staging of jobs including requisitioning materials in order to complete jobs on time.
Under the direction of the Maintenance Manager, plans activities associated with pre-planned plant outages to provide for maximum use of available resources. Coordinates and facilitates maintenance activity with internal departments as well as outside vendors/contractors as required.
Ensures the accuracy of the spare parts inventory through periodic audits, monitors all tools and equipment and arranges for their repair. Receives and counts material, labels and places materials in appropriate location, properly identifying, to ensure accuracy with paperwork. Assists in establishing min/max inventory levels of maintenance materials to ensure item availability.
Determines method of storage and stock location for spare parts, considering height and weight limits and required space. Keeps tool crib neat, clean and orderly.
Maintains a tooling inventory system that will provide information to allow for tracking tool life, predictive die failure analysis and other analysis as required. May mark and identify tools and equipment, using identification tag, stamp, or electric marking tool.
Ensures tool orders arrive on time by maintaining tooling status records and delivery schedule for tools. Communicates changes to internal parties as required.
Ensures tools are easily available by formulating and maintaining an inventory listing of tools and their current condition and exact storage location.
Gathers data, quotes and other information required to requisition tooling for approval. Enters requisitions for approval. Prioritizes tooling needs with vendors through communication with, Engineering, Procurement and Materials Departments and by staying abreast of current projects and their tooling needs.
Performs additional duties as directed.
Education & Experience
Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance or related curriculum with at least ten years of multi-crafted maintenance experience with a concentration in electromechanical trouble shooting and repair; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Working knowledge of Total Productive Maintenance principles desired.
Computer skills and experience with inventory management, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) Software desired; SAP knowledge preferred.
OSHA knowledge and project management experience beneficial.
Background in practical electro- mechanical assembly and test equipment trouble shooting and repair highly preferred
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Must be able to read and interpret documents such as prints, schematics, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Possesses ability to write routine reports and correspondence
Working knowledge of tooling design, tool measurement and maintenance.
Must be capable of reading all types of measuring devices.
Ability to perform all assigned tasks, work independently, and complete work on schedule.
Follow direction while displaying cooperative and positive behavior with co-workers.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office programs.
Able to meet productivity standards, work quickly, and complete work in a timely manner.
