POSITION OVERVIEW

The Maintenance Planner/Storekeeper will support the maintenance team by managing inventory, coordinating preventive maintenance, and ensuring that equipment and resources are available to support production demands. This role combines responsibilities in both inventory management and maintenance planning, with a strong focus on accuracy, scheduling, and proactive maintenance. The Maintenance Planner/Storekeeper will play a key role in facilitating continuous improvement initiatives, overseeing maintenance schedules, and ensuring efficient maintenance operations to minimize downtime.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Inventory Management and Storekeeping:

Receive and verify incoming supplies against purchase orders; maintain accurate inventory records. Track and reorder stock based on inventory replenishment needs; conduct cycle counts for accuracy. Identify parts by sight and verbal identification using standard mechanical nomenclature. Maintain storeroom organization, including compliance with 5S standards and visual factory requirements.

Maintenance Planning and Scheduling:

Develop and oversee preventive maintenance (PM), Autonomous Preventive Maintenance (APM), and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) schedules. Coordinate maintenance activities with production schedulers to align with production needs. Prepare and manage detailed job plans, bills of materials, and maintenance task documentation in CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) systems like SAP, Chase CMMS, and Maximo. Maintain equipment-related improvement schedules, including proactive, mandatory, and corrective maintenance.

Customer Service and Communication:

Act as a cross-functional team player to provide timely support to production and maintenance teams. Proactively communicate with crew leaders and team managers to address maintenance needs, schedule adjustments, and resource availability. Provide exceptional customer service to internal clients, ensuring effective support for equipment readiness.

Process Improvement and Documentation:

Support the development of systems, procedures, and work instructions to improve maintenance operations. Contribute to a team-focused culture that emphasizes continuous improvement and reliability. Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to maintenance execution and equipment performance.

 

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

Attendance & Performance: Consistently meets standards for attendance and performance reviews. Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; AA degree or technical training preferred. Experience: Minimum of 2 years in manufacturing or inventory management; 5 years of maintenance and planning experience preferred. Technical Skills: Familiarity with maintenance scheduling, storeroom software (e.g., SAP, Maximo, Chase CMMS). Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Access). Basic knowledge of process/programmable controllers, AC/DC drives, and packaging equipment. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Mechanical Aptitude: Ability to identify mechanical parts accurately and demonstrate basic mechanical skills. Communication Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills, with professional conduct at all times. Customer Service: Excellent customer service skills to support internal team needs. Adaptability: Willingness to work flexible schedules and shifts as needed

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

Leadership: Experience with leading teams and Autonomous Maintenance. Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with maintenance equipment supply chains, TPM environment, and report generation for tracking equipment performance.
