The maintenance planner is responsible for the overall engineering asset management, planning and scheduling all maintenance activities using SAP (Computerised Maintenance Management System) software. This position is a critical forward facing role within the maintenance department to ensure the reliability of our assets. Responsibilities Execute planning & scheduling strategy in alignment with PEMM. Generate weekly maintenance schedules with an outlook of up to six weeks. Facilitate planning/scheduling meeting with key stakeholders. Performs regular data analysis of work order management and asset performance. Custodian of data quality and data cleansing of the SAP – work order backlog, prioritisation, failure codes, data integrity, labour hours, spare parts. Develop and maintain 52 week maintenance plan with optimised level loading of maintenance hours. Provides software training to end users (technicians) and new SAP Administrators; serves as liaison for problem solving and escalation. Be able to coach and educate staff on the SAP functions and best practices for performing tasks. Uploading planned maintenance task lists, generating schedules to standardised time and frequency in alignment with annualised plan. Prioritising work requests from internal customers, defining critical requests to support food safety and health & safety. Parts kitting / staging for effective maintenance execution to maximise wrench time. To co-ordinate with external contractors on agreed service intervals, time and duration. Ensure alignment of SAP planned tasks with statuary and mandatory requirements. Qualifications Technical knowledge of the plant. Communicate effectively written, verbal and PC. Ability to SET direction. Ability to be direct. Pro-active, ability to drive through continuous improvement initiatives. A sense of urgency. To be approachable. Good communication skills.
