This position will be based in Chatham, NY plant. A charming town located in Columbia County in the Hudson Valley region of New York State. Known for its picturesque landscapes, small-town charm, and vibrant cultural scene.

While reporting to the Plant Engineer, this position will be directly responsible for planning and scheduling daily work needed to properly maintain all plant equipment. Key focus of this position is to plan and schedule preventive maintenance activities that will drive a culture of Zero Breakdowns.

What you'll be doing:

Ensuring all maintenance jobs are planned and scheduled with safety at the forefrontEnsuring that all maintenance work is thoroughly planned one week outEnsuring communication of planned work to all affected partiesCommunicating and strategizing work needed with maintenance ownersIdentifying Areas for Improvement to include safety risks and PM task improvementsAssisting in creating plans for improvement effortsOwning and planning Maintenance Downtime to ensure all required work can be completedAdvanced understanding and upkeep of Cworks systemThis position must understand the importance of Preventive/Predictive Maintenance and be able to plan and schedule daily activities to support this proactive maintenance approach.Ability to work closely with all levels of the plant to plan, schedule, and communicate daily activities.Self-motivated to ensure all maintenance functions within their realm are planned and scheduled in the safest manner and with such efficiency that no jobs are waiting on parts, tools or manpower to perform the task.Must be able to work closely with maintenance owners to ensure that PM tasks are thorough and timely.Will require an excellent balance of organizational skills, leadership skills, strong work ethic, written and verbal communication skills, and dynamic people skills.Due to the nature of this job, strong maintenance skills (particularly an understanding of preventive maintenance needed for many mechanical components) are required.

Specific Duties:

Responsible for personal commitment to safety, working toward an injury-free environment. Responsible for ensuring that all tasks are planned and scheduled with safety in mind.Responsible for planning all maintenance jobs one week out.Ensuring all safety risks are identified and eliminated/reducedThoroughly planning each maintenance task from prep work needed, documentation required, parts kitted, manpower needed to complete and post-work needed.Communicating with all stakeholders to understand findings and work neededEnsuring Cworks has the proper PM tasks and frequency loaded and attached to pieces of equipmentEnsuring each piece of equipment has spare parts listed in CworksEnsuring communication and strategizing with maintenance owners on the maintenance work plan in their areaCommunicating planned work to all affected partiesEnsuring all planned work is scheduled within 1 week of its due date in CworksOwning the PM Calendar and ensuring its accuracy at all timesEnsuring schedule is communicated to maintenance owners and supervisor two weeks out.Ensure daily schedule is given to lead men to be communicated to maintenance ownersResponsible for maintaining CworksEnsuring all PM checklists are attached and continuously updated in CworksAble to run Cworks reports that will provide insight to any clean-up needs in Cworks
