MAINTENANCE PLANNER
**Description** Job Title: Maintenance Planner Department: Maintenance Reports to: Mike Mortensen Location: Beardstown, Illinois Effective Date: 2/14/2025 Job Status: Full Time FLSA Status: Salaried Work Schedule: Monday-Friday (Weekends as needed, flexibility as needed) Travel Requirements: 0-5% Job Summary: The JBS Pork team is seeking a maintenance planner. This individual is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing preventive maintenance plans for equipment with the facility, ensuring proper maintenance by creating detailed schedules, coordinating necessary resources, and monitoring equipment performance to minimize downtime and optimize asset reliability. Works closely with maintenance hourly team members, maintenance technicians and maintenance management. The ideal candidate will be very detail oriented and thrive on supporting a busy, fast-paced team. This role offers excellent growth potential. Supervisory Responsibilities: None Duties/Responsibilities: + Develop PM’s for critical equipment in the facility + Ensure spare parts and inventory are stocked for critical equipment + Work with vendors, mechanics, and supervisors daily to ensure proper parts are ordered timely for equipment + Build parts kits for team members + Compare vendors for cost savings + Maintain SAP database for accurate equipment + Cleaning and organizing as directed Required Skills/Abilities: + Ability to multitask + Customer service skills + Mechanical troubleshooting experience + Must be able to tolerate smells and extreme temperatures + Must be able to work as part of a team and be self-driven + Must be detailed oriented + Must maintain exceptional communication between maintenance department and personnel Education, Experience, Qualifications: + High school diploma or equivalent. + Bilingual (plus but not required) + Computer skills and knowledge + Ability to work with SAP Systems + Mechanical knowledge + Can perform the functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation + As a salaried position with the company, you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities, to attend Company events, or as a representative of the Company in other situations.
