We are looking for an experienced Maintenance Planner & Scheduler to lead and oversee maintenance planning and scheduling activities at our Rilland and Kruiningen sites. This role plays a crucial part in maintaining site assets, ensuring reliability, optimizing uptime, and extending asset longevity through preventive and predictive maintenance programs.

You will work closely with on-site personnel, external service providers, contractors, and OEMs to implement a proactive and systemized maintenance system.

Key Responsibilities

Safety and compliance are top priorities, ensuring workplace health, safety, and adherence to food safety standards like GMP and HACCP. The role involves developing and implementing maintenance schedules, coordinating activities with production teams, and optimizing resource utilization. Using a CMMS, the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler will create structured maintenance processes, manage work orders, track costs, and drive continuous improvements in equipment reliability.

 

Effective stakeholder communication is essential, requiring regular updates to production teams, collaboration with suppliers, and liaising with other McCain plants to implement best practices. The role also involves supporting technician development, facilitating training, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement. Identifying and addressing equipment defects, promoting maintenance excellence, and ensuring long-term solutions are key aspects of the job.

Qualifications & Experience

Education & Experience: Bachelor or master’s degree in engineering or certification as a tradesperson in a related field. Experience in food manufacturing is an advantage. Proven track record in maintenance planning and execution.Technical Expertise: Strong knowledge of CMMS, MS Office, ERP systems, and maintenance planning tools. Familiarity with continuous improvement methodologies.Skills: Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication skills to engage cross-functional teams and influence best practices. Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
