Job Overview:
The Maintenance Planner performs a variety of duties that support the maintenance department mainly in an administrative role. Perform miscellaneous duties including filing, preparing information for data entry for periodic schedules, develops schedules and reports and ensure appropriate record keeping and tracking is maintained.
Responsibilities:
Manages the work order process - Take maintenance request calls, create work orders using computerized maintenance management software and close work orders. Work with maintenance manager, supervisors, and engineering manager to determine work order priority and develop the weekly schedule. Manages schedule. Organizes and manages spare parts inventory Works directly with vendors and Stellar Manufacturing purchasing agent to order parts Receives work assignment priorities from maintenance manager in order to create daily work assignments for each shift Maintains records of maintenance and logs preventative maintenance activity and periodically communicates status of PM’s. Understands plant labeling requirements. Develops work plans and helps prepare materials for work execution. Performs other related duties as assigned by management which may occasionally include field supervision of work.Supervisory Responsibilities:
This is not a supervisor role, however, may oversee work assignments as necessary.
Qualifications:
Strong organizational skills, problem solving skills and communication skills · Proficiency with Microsoft Excel Basic mechanical aptitude / understanding Experience with CMMS Experience with document control systems Experience implementing systems and processes within an organization. Ability to read, write, and speak English so that individual can order supplies, prepare reports, and understand and follow work related instructions. Proficient knowledge of Microsoft products required. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) Minimum 1-year prior experience, maintenance experience a plus.Competencies:

Role is mostly seated or walking plant floor Ability to lift/push/carry items up to 20 pounds Frequent exposure to cold and hot conditions (non-climate controlled) Frequently work near moving mechanical parts Frequently work around chemicals.Pay: $65,000.00- $75,000.00
