Lead morning Toolbox and Assign Work
Walkdown WO and make Plan Jobs – manpower duration, safety considerations, equipment, tools, materials, etc.
Review backlog and planning list for duplicate work orders.
Approve WO’s and edit work orders to insure accuracy, standardization, billing/payments, proper support documentation, timeframe, assigning contract resources, and updating as needed
Spot Check Critical Work
Order all required materials and verify they are accurate before scheduling the work
Receive parts in purchasing system upon arrival
Be primary responsible person for warehouse management (Receiving, issuing, setting up and managing inventory, etc.)
Kit parts to WO’s (direct issue or from warehouse)
Create schedule of WO’s for full following week (could change to 2 weeks)
Create schedule for extended shutdowns
Create follow up work orders based on technician comments
Review completed WO’s and save information that will be useful for next time work is performed
Report Maintenance KPI’s (Schedule Compliance, PM Compliance, etc.)
The maintenance planner will be responsible for the application of asset management strategies within the plant, with the goal of providing reliable processes to the business. Activities include the planning and scheduling required to ensure efficient execution of Maintenance and Reliability practices/programs/processes, proactive maintenance and repair, best practice application, and continuous Improvement strategies.
Hold semi-annual backlog review/clean-up meetings with the department you plan for
Group work orders that can be planned and worked together to optimize utilization of resources
Pre-load schedule prior to core meetings with safety related items, PM’s, work not completed during the prior week, and Red tag work orders
Select planned work orders based on priorities that are available for inclusion on the upcoming week’s schedule
Review proposed schedule during weekly core meeting and fill in the rest of the available manhours with input from core meeting attendees
Understands your role in food safety and quality systems, actively participates in efforts and ensures all activities conform to good manufacturing practices.
Responsible for utilizing the Performance Excellence process.
The position is also very involved in applying maintenance reliability practices to avoid maintenance expense and to avoid equipment outages where possible.
Work with production to prioritize required repair work and to insure that the procedures for monitoring equipment meet the needs of the company.
Uses Maximo and other computer systems to maintain records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance information
Audit work accomplished for quantity, quality, safe work practices, and GMPs against accepted department and company standards

Salary/Wage Range: The pay range for this position at commencement of employment is expected to be between $64,000 to $90,000 per year, however, base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. 
Bonus Eligible: No
The total compensation package for this position will also include other elements.  Subject to the terms and conditions of the applicable plans then in effect, eligible employees may enroll in a 401(k) plan as well as participate in medical, dental, vision, and basic life insurance plans for the employee and the employee’s eligible dependents.  Employees will also receive 120 hours of paid time off on January 1st of each year and 12 paid holidays throughout the calendar year.  Eligible employees may also take up to 12 weeks of paid [parental/disability/emergency/etc.] leave.
