Key Responsibilities:
Obtain quotes and execute all aspects of campus projects (maintenance and new). Co-ordination and management of projects, contractors and subcontractors. Vetting of all contractors including subcontractors. Professional interaction with architects, quantity surveyors, engineers and other consultants. Control and maintain high standard of service. Compile specifications for all projects. Regular reporting and ad hoc reports. Budget control within each project including compilation, control, estimates, reports, quotes and payments. Assist with other tasks as requested by management from time to time. Requirements:
A minimum of 5 years’ relevant experience A relevant tertiary qualification will be advantageous Excellent role model and effective in leading, motivating and supporting a team A high level of professionalism, discretion, integrity, confidentiality and sensitivity Ability to think and engage strategically, work well under pressure and achieve tight deadlines High standards and good attention to detail Excellent verbal and written communication skills Problem solving skills Superb planning, coordination and administrative skills Excellent interpersonal skills A good working knowledge of the OHSAct Knowledge of civil, electrical, plumbing, building and mechanical faults Proficiency in computer programmes and applications (Microsoft Suite and Google Applications) Ability to work under pressure *ONLY SHORTLISTED CANDIDATES WILL BE CONTACTED*
