Maintenance Reliability Engineer Location US-IL-Sauget Category Engineering Overview

Lead and direct the maintenance department’s mechanical maintenance and reliability initiatives. Provide technical assistance to the maintenance department and be the maintenance liaison with plant engineering and operations. Lead predictive and preventative maintenance programs.

Responsibilities Lead maintenance safety and environmental compliance initiativesProvide maintenance support to plantLead predictive & preventative maintenance programsLead energy efficiency programs – steam, air, nitrogen, and trainingProvide daily supervision of maintenance mechanical departmentProvide plant turnaround leadershipLead and direct specialty contractorsLiaison with engineers, operations, and others to discuss existing or potential engineering projectsMaintain and improve mechanical systems, equipment, facilities, components, products, and systems for commercial, industrial, and domestic purposesDirect and coordinate manufacturing, installation, maintenance, support, documentation, and testing activities to ensure compliance with specifications, codes, and customer requirementsInspect, maintain installations and observe operations to ensure conformance to design, equipment specifications and compliance with operational and safety standardsTrain maintenance and operations employeesInvestigate and test vendors' productsUtilize technical drawings, specifications of electrical and mechanical systems and components to ensure systems conform to standardsProvide technical assistance to operationsAssist in developing capital project programs for new equipment and major repairsOther duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred (four year college or university) Five to Ten years’ work experience within Chemical/Manufacturing industrial environmentProficient in Microsoft Office applications, Accolade, SAP Good working knowledge of Maintenance and Reliability Best Practices
