Maintenance & Reliability Manager
Maintenance & Reliability Manager City Hopewell State/Province Virginia Overview:

This is an onsite, in-person position located at: 3600 Discovery Drive, Chester, VA 23836 (Mylar)

 

Primary Function: Provide oversight and leadership for all Maintenance, Utilities Operations, MRO Storeroom,  Maintenance Contractor Management and Equipment Reliability at our Hopewell Site.  Responsible for continuous improvement initiatives in safety performance, reliability, cost and capital management, and MRO inventory control.

 

The Maintenance & Reliability Manager leads a team of approximately 11 staff, including maintenance planners, mechanical and electrical engineer techs, controls equipment specialist, utilities operators.

Champion a proactive safety strategy that will drive a “Zero Incident” culture across all of the site’s Maintenance and Utilities functionsCoach, counsel, and develop the department’s direct and indirect reportsDirect and manage the site maintenance staff to implement best maintenance practices and provide technical expertise to reduce costs and improve process uptime and asset reliabilityControl maintenance expenditures within budget requirements by monitoring expenditures, adjusting priorities, and forecasting maintenance needsDevelop and maintain Reliability plans in line with lost time expectations and cost.Coordinate with engineering group for capital project executions to ensure effective use of capital fundsDirect effective planning and scheduling program through the use of  benchmarks and parametersEstablish and monitor key measures to ensure that a comprehensive and effective maintenance and reliability program is in place and that the Maintenance Excellence Process is practicedPrepare and administer programs, methods, systems, and practices for reducing costs and improving employee and plant efficiency, safety, productivity, and reliability

Knowledge, Experience, and Skills Needed

 

Required

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering Preferred types of engineering degrees: Electrical, mechanical, industrial, chemical Minimum of 10 years industrial manufacturing experience with a minimum of five years in a maintenance leadership positionMinimum of three years’ experience of maintenance execution (Preferred: within a Process Safety Management environment)Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skillsPrior CMMS integration and improvement program execution. Demonstrated experience in managing turnaround/major PM planning, scheduling, and executionMicrosoft Office, and SharePoint

 

Desired

Reliability improvement and predictive maintenance experience Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of wage and management personnelExperience with Maintenance Training Program development Experience using SAP for PM (plant maintenance)Fluent in World Class Maintenance (WCM) principles with a proven track record of executing business processes to meet WCM benchmarks
