Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

The Maintenance Reliability Supervisor will be responsible for identifying opportunities to improve our asset reliability and implement appropriate improvements to the reliability centered maintenance process. The position will require leading a crew of reliability technicians and driving equipment reliability.

 

Job Responsibilities:

The position has primary responsibility to drive the continuous improvement of our asset reliability and manufacturing KPIs at the Winchester, VA site, this includes, but isn’t limited to:          

Daily work with reliability group: Identifying asset reliability issues, managing daily preventative/predictive programs, documenting/trending asset quality and continuous improvement. Leading and training a team of reliability technicians on preventative maintenance program best practices, developing technician technical knowledge, improving reliability tasks and equipment uptimes. Provide subject matter expertise regarding preventative maintenance standards, predictive maintenance technologies, vibration analyzation, ultrasound analyzation, oil sampling and thermography. Working with engineering and maintenance groups: Leading and assisting in projects that drive improvement in new equipment purchase reliability standards, and efficiency of future maintainability. Drive cost savings measures through value added reliability maintenance practices, with the goal of attaining world class reliability metrics. Report to Maintenance Manager in measuring key reliability performance metrics and executing improvement projects to provide a clear path to world class reliability goals, preparing reports and implementing process mapping. Makes implementation and results a top priority and regularly updates the plant’s implementation plan. Communicates the status of improvement efforts to both the plant management and other engineering resources throughout the division.  Provides documentation of results and benefits achieved.  Shares “maintenance best practice” methods and ideas across plants/divisions.

Must work effectively in a fast-paced team environment with constant interruptions.  Must clearly communicate business goals so associates understand how they contribute to the organization’s success. Extensive short-term planning based on established and changing priorities.  Involves ongoing problem solving.  Some irregular hours may be required. 

 

Minimum Qualifications:

5+ years of Industrial maintenance experience. Background in industrial maintenance reliability and continuous improvement. Working understanding of hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical systems.   Working understanding of injection molding machines and processing. Working knowledge of six sigma tools and methodology, strong quantitative, analytical and process redesign skills, along with the excellent project management skills are required. Excellent communication skills to lead and support empowered employees in a team environment. Good presentation skills to effectively share the success and ideas. Able to work with minimum supervision. High energy, self-motivated, enthusiastic, well organized. Able to work in a team environment.

 

Preferable Characteristics:

Understanding of industrial manufacturing processes. Certified Maintenance Reliability Professional Certification. Have a well-developed concept of Reliability Centered Maintenance or Total Predictive Maintenance philosophies. Demonstrated ability to not only use Six Sigma and Lean Principles such as DMAIC, SPC, Cpk, GR&R, Control Plans, DOE, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Visual Factory, TPM, Kaizen, JIT, Demand Flow, Single Piece Flow, SMED as well as other Continuous Improvement Process tools.
