Maintenance/Repair Tech Trainee 1st & 2nd Shifts
**Job Description:** **Entry level maintenance position to perform preventative maintenance on machinery, mechanical equipment, production machines and equipment, as well as building maintenance support.** **Primary Responsibilities:** **Perform routine preventative maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including cold headers, pointers, and thread rollers, to ensure optimal performance.** **Open and close out work orders in Fiix to track maintenance tasks and completed work.** **Conduct oil changes for headers and other designated equipment.** **Check, clean, and replace filters for headers, pointers, rollers, and other equipment as scheduled.** **Apply grease to all grease fittings, including headers, conveyors, turntables, RMGs, rollers, pointers, washers, and deoilers, per maintenance schedules.** **Support basic compressor maintenance, including bleeding, replacing air filters, checking oil levels, and changing oil as needed.** **Perform building maintenance tasks, such as replacing filters, bleeding airlines, checking lights, cleaning fans, ceiling tiles, and compressor filters, as well as addressing facility maintenance requests.** **Inspect and check for loose electrical components and piping, addressing issues like damaged conduit fittings, liquatite, and sensor malfunctions.** **Clean laser sensors and ensure they are free from dust and debris to maintain accuracy.** **Conduct safety-related inspections as outlined in Fiix, ensuring compliance with workplace safety standards.** **Assist in maintaining accurate maintenance records and logging downtime** **Work alongside machine operators to provide basic troubleshooting support and assist with training on proper machine care and workplace safety.** **Help maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sweeping floors, removing scrap, and keeping workstations clear.** **Participate in safety audits and inspections, ensuring compliance with safety standards.** **Other tasks as assigned** **Competencies:** **CONTRIBUTES TO TEAM SUCCESS - Actively participates as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals. WORK STANDARDS - Sets high standards of performance for self and others; assumes responsibility and accountability for successfully completing assignments or tasks; self-imposes standards of excellence rather than having standards imposed.** **Job Requirements:** **High School Diploma/GED, required** **Must be able to work up to 40 hours, mandatory overtime, including weekends.** **Read and interrupt electrical blueprints and schematics.** **Safely Operate Man Lifts, Forklifts, and Boom Lifts** **Must be able to read, analyze and interpret business and technical documents, productivity charts, procedure manuals, etc., the ability to prepare required routine reports and correspondence, the ability to communicate effectively with others, using skill and diplomacy and have the ability to work with all levels of the organization.** **Must be able to work within established health, safety, and quality guidelines.** **Must be able to organize the workload and meet deadlines.** **Must be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide, using whole numbers/decimals and the ability to apply concepts of business math to practical situations.** **Must be able to apply understanding to carry out detailed instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram format.** **Must possess strong knowledge, understanding and experience in various problem-solving and participatory management techniques.** **Must possess ability to lead, plan, and initiate actions during periods of representation of supervision.** **Work Environment:** **The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential duties and responsibilities of this position, within typical manufacturing working conditions. While performing the duties of this position, the employee will be exposed to fumes, heat and dust, climate variances and moving mechanical equipment typically found in a manufacturing environment. The noise level in the work environment is high when exposed to the manufacturing areas. Certain personal protective equipment is required when in the manufacturing areas.
