Responsibilities, and Duties:
Responsible for machinery inspection, mechanical and electrical technical assistance, and maintenance and repair during assigned shiftsTests, installs, and repairs plant equipment and machineryPerforms preventive maintenance and safety inspections on equipment and machineryConducts electrical inspection, repair, and troubleshooting on production and support equipment and plant power systems (PLC, I/O, electronics, motors, and instruments)Performs basic mechanical work, including sheet metal layout, fabrication, buildings and grounds maintenance, weights and scales calibration, welding, and pipefittingDocuments work performed and communicates work activities to appropriate personnelStays current on new equipment and updates to existing equipment by reading manuals, schematics, drawings, and relevant literatureProvides on-call emergency repair service for all areas of the millUtilizes fabrication shop process equipment such as drill press, hydraulic press, welder, band saw, sheet metal shear, metal brake, and milling machineAdheres to all applicable policies and procedures, including Safety, Quality, and GMP’sWorks in various conditions, including moderate exposure to dusty and dirty work environments and seasonal weather extremes (both inside and outside).Capable of lifting up to 50 lbsWorks from ladders and elevated platforms, as well as climbing steps and crawling over, under, and into equipment as needed to perform job dutiesQualifications:
