Maintenance Worker Full-time - Bethpage Maintenance Worker – An exciting job that’s “on the go”! Company van + paid gas! Full-time: Visit different local facilities throughout the day! In this fast-paced career-growth position, you will assist the Facilities Manager in maintenance work and projects at various locations. If you have knowledge of trades (carpentry, plumbing, and/or electrical) and are a self-starter with working knowledge of MS Outlook and smart phones (for the electronic work orders system) then this is the perfect job for you. We are currently seeking a few exceptional people who have a passion to create a meaningful impact in the lives of the amazing people we support. In this role, you will: + Complete all assigned work, paperwork and projects in a timely manner. + Complete all schedules (listed in maintenance manual) and any additional items required for program and/or building certifications. + Complete seasonal preventative maintenance projects such as power washing, furniture moving, landscaping and snow removal and assist other maintenance workers, as assigned. We require: + Clean, valid NYS driver’s license. + Prior experience in carpentry, plumbing, electrical or other related building trades. + The ability to work at various heights while using extension ladders to access roofs, lighting etc., and ability to lift a minimum of fifty (50) pounds. + Verbal/written communication skills including the ability to provide or obtain information, to interpret and advise to clarify understanding. + Strong reasoning skills and ability to work with minimal supervision. This is a full-time position (Monday – Friday 8am – 4:30pm) and requires travel to locations throughout Suffolk and Nassau using Agency vans.
