The location in Bennettsville, (South Carolina, United States), is seeking talent to fill the position of Maintenance Specialist, Fiberline. This job is full-time permanent.
The Maintenance Specialist position is in the Pulp & Utilities Department which includes both the Fiberline and Recovery & Utilities areas. This position reports to the Fiberline Manager and will be the Mechanical / Electrical and Instrumentation (E&I) resource for the area.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Support maintenance activities of the Fiberline area. This would include Domtar activities as well as contracted activities. Assist in planning of outages in Fiberline (i.e. timelines and schedules, selection of contractors and materials, establishing and monitoring of budgets, etc.). Oversee activities of Fiberline Maintenance Team Leader and Maintenance Planners, while working alongside the E&I Specialist. Help to establish maintenance budgets and monitor maintenance spending against budgets. Directly supervise selected contracted maintenance jobs both during normal operations and during outages. Initiate and oversee trouble shooting efforts such as Root Cause Failure Analysis. Help administer preventative/predictive maintenance programs. Oversight of work orders systems and planning processes (currently using SAP) to see that work is entered, prioritized, planned, scheduled, completed, closed, and documented.
Qualifications
BS degree in Engineering and five (5) years of maintenance experience. We will accept applications from non-degreed individuals with at least seven years of maintenance experience. Safety and team oriented with a good work ethic, positive attitude, and the ability to work independently and to lead entire group of maintenance professionals in a team environment. Excellent communication and computer skills. Demonstrated strong problem-solving skills. Experience with SAP and DMSI (MAINtelligence) preferred.
