Volt is immediately hiring for Maintenance Specialist III (Contingent to hire) in Carlsbad, CA.

\r\n\r\n

2nd shift, 4 pm to 12:30 am, Monday to Friday

\r\n\r\n

This position is responsible for supporting all activities related to building maintenance and repair efforts as assigned by the Maintenance Manager. Responsible for assisting with the execution of all maintenance activities, including the execution of a preventative maintenance program. Must complete all applicable SOP and QA trainings.

\r\n\r\n

As a Maintenance Specialist III you will:

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tBasic Maintenance Tasks \r\n\tRepair and maintenance of plant equipment \r\n\tElectrical \r\n\tElectronic \r\n\tPM program\r\n\tComputer programs - Word, Excel, Outlook, Maintenance Specific Programs \r\n\tPlumbing \r\n\tSpare parts inventory \r\n\tLighting \r\n\tOperate forklift and scissor lift \r\n\tBasic PLC \r\n\tExchange HVAC filters \r\n\tUnder direction from the manager, able to modify new and existing equipment while maintaining the integrity of safety and warranty\r\n\tResponsible for assisting with electrical, plumbing and other miscellaneous facility repairs\r\n\tHelp organize and maintain spare parts inventory, availability and control\r\n\tAbility to effectively interact with professionalism and work well at all levels, with production and warehouse personnel, as well as all other departments as assigned\r\n\tExpertise and proficiency with basic office computer software, and the ability to learn how to effectively use and input data to maintain the equipment schedule\r\n\tAt times, this role will be assigned to research replacement spare parts from vendors\r\n\tMust be willing to work a flexible shift schedule including daily overtime and weekends as needed. This may include opening the building before manufacturing starts working\r\n\tWill perform preventive maintenance (PM) maintenance of the equipment as assigned by the Manager\r\n\tAssists with and learns to repair facilities structures, systems and components, including performing minor repairs to building plumbing, low-voltage, and line voltage electric systems, door hardware, and fire/life safety protection/equipment systems\r\n\tAssists with and learns the maintenance of induction, air handling, and refrigeration units, including serving, cleaning and inspecting all related equipment\r\n\tAssists with and learns to perform electronic recordkeeping related to preventative maintenance and repair\r\n\tMaintains a working knowledge of materials, systems and code requirements related to maintenance of food manufacturing facilities\r\n\tKnows and understands all site safety procedures\r\n\tMaintains appropriate records and reports\r\n\tRegular attendance is an essential function of this position\r\n\tFollowing and living Glanbia values: Showing Respect, Winning Together, Finding a Better Way, Performance Matters, and Customers Champion.\r\n\r\n\r\n

The ideal candidate will have:

\r\n\r\n

\r\n\r\n\r\n\tAssociate Degree or courses in a mechanical and/or technical discipline or combination of education and experience\r\n\tMinimum of 3-5 years in a manufacturing environment maintaining equipment and performing repairs\r\n\tKnowledge of: Common hand tools\r\n\tBasic recordkeeping techniques\r\n\tBasic workplace safety procedures\r\n\tBasic use of personal computers to access automated recordkeeping tools and use email\r\n\tBasic customer service practices\r\n\tSkills in: Basic computer use to maintain logs and inventories\r\n\tRespond to service requests and emails\r\n\tAccess to computerized maintenance management system\r\n\tAbility to: Learn the functions of and use a variety of tools and power equipment\r\n\tMaintain routine records and reports in computerized and written formats\r\n\tEffectively use email and automated calendaring systems\r\n\tMake arithmetic calculations quickly and accurately\r\n\tLearn and apply health and safety regulations\r\n\tPerform assigned tasks independently and ask for supervision or guidance as needed\r\n\tUnderstand and follow oral and written directions\r\n\tWork from blue prints, shop drawings and sketches\r\n\tEstablish and maintain cooperative working relationships\r\n\tTrouble shoot equipment issues and repair them safely and efficiently maintain a clean and organized workspace\r\n\tRead and interpret equipment instruction manuals, manufacturing processes, documents, drawings, and procedures\r\n\tRead and interpret documents and drawings\r\n\tWork with minimal supervision while remaining productive at all times\r\n\tWork in fast paced, deadline orientated environment with multiple rapidly changing priorities\r\n\tWork with amino acids, vitamins and fine chemicals in powder and liquid form as well as allergen products\r\n\tExercise independent judgment by identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to develop and evaluate options and implement solutions\r\n\r\n\r\n

Pay Rate: $23.67 to 31.35/hr
