Maintenance Specialist II / Full-Time
We’re looking for qualified Maintenance Specialist like you to join our Texas Health family.
Work Location: Texas Health Arlington Memorial, 800 West Randol Mill Rd., Arlington, TX 76012
Work Hours: Full-Time Monday – Friday from 7:00am to 3:30pm with rotating on call

Qualifications
Here’s What You Need:
· H.S. Diploma or Equivalent is Required.
· Specialized training in mechanic trades or a related field Preferred
o Individuals hired into the position prior to January 1, 2003, will be grandfathered with existing education.
· 3 Years in commercial or industrial environment and licensed as electrician, plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification Required.
· 7 Years in commercial or industrial environment without licensed electrician, plumber or industrial maintenance mechanic certification Required.
· DL – Driver’s License upon hire Required.
· 1 year of Hospital environment experience Preferred.
· HVAC and or Refrigeration experience Preferred.
Skills
You are proficient in the use of computerized systems for all the following aspects of job performance:
· Troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and utility systems.
· Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
· Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
· Ability to work effectively unsupervised and in teams
· Excellent written, verbal, and listening skills
· Ability to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays.
What You Will Do:
You, the Maintenance Specialist II, will provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system.
Provide routine and specialized building repair and maintenance support for hospital, hospital equipment, and hospital properties utilizing the computerized maintenance management system. Identify and correct problems such as mechanical systems (pumps, belt drivers, gear reduction drives, piping, valve diagnosis and replacement), plumbing systems (installing, repairing and maintaining pipes, fixtures and other plumbing used for waste water distribution and waste water disposal), electrical systems (install, test, maintain, and diagnose electrical or electronic wiring, equipment, appliances, apparatus, fixtures, components, and systems), and control systems (sensors, limit switches, solonoids, motors). Provide technical support and general guidance to facility staff in the repair and operation of facility equipment, components, utilities, and the like. Participate in hospital and departmental safety programs, education opportunities, and related training. Attends 90% of staff meeting and training, required training shall be completed on time.
