Maintenance Manager
Your role and responsibilitiesPerforms machining operations on a variety of machines to make parts to specification. Design, build and assemble jigs, fixtures, gauges and machines with pneumatic and hydraulics. Develop skills in die preventative maintenance, repair, design and build. Carries out assigned tasks by performing the following duties:1.\tReads and interprets operation sheets, sketches, layouts, diagrams, written changes and verbal instructions to gain correct information to perform machining operations.2.\tDevelops and uses drawing skill to document work.3.\tMeasures, marks and scribes metal stock for machining.4.\tSets up and operates machine tools such as lathes, milling machine, shaper and grinder to machine parts and verifies conformance of machined parts to specification.5.\tLifts machined parts and positions and secures parts on surface plate or worktable. Mate, fit and tram, flat and contoured surfaces, plus assembles parts together and into assemblies and mechanisms.6.\tVerifies dimensions, alignments and clearances.7.\tExamines standard or previously used dies, tools and jigs and fixtures and recommends design modifications regarding construction and function of part.8.\tDevelops specifications from general descriptions for specialty tools and die draws or sketches design of product.9.\tMay assist in supervision and training of other team members, specifically the tool room level 1’s.10.\tMaintains a clean work environment on a daily basis or more often if necessary.11.\tAbility to work overtime as scheduled.12.\tPerforms other duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications for the roleHS/GED required. Minimum Associate’s degree or equivalent from a four-year college or technical school, completion of a four-year apprenticeship program or equivalent combination of education and experience.\tMust be able to read and interpret blueprints, diagrams and other various sketches.\tAbility to work with mathematical concepts such as fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. \tAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.\t\tAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. \tAbility to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
