POSITION OVERVIEW
Under the general supervision of the Department Manager, this position performs various duties such as matching incoming supplies against P.O.’s, monitoring inventory needs, developing inventory replenishment report for purchasing and taking cycle counts for inventory purposes. This role communicates with all levels of the organization and works as a cross-functional team player to support the business needs. The candidate works with the mechanical aptitude to identify parts accurately by sight and from verbal identification using standard mechanical nomenclature. The focus of this job is to provide excellent customer service to pro-actively support production and maintenance needs. Additional projects will be assigned including: documenting visual factory cycle counts, providing knowledge of storeroom indicators; creating measures on parts usage by team, leading and contributing to 5S standards.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or equivalent required.
AA degree preferred.
Minimum 2 years relevant manufacturing experience (warehouse, stock selection, inventory).
Ability to perform basic math functions, with accurate clerical data entry skills.
Ability to operate storeroom computer, using various software, including Chase, Maximo, SAP, Microsoft applications or knowledge of similar systems.
Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more.
Ability to demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
Must be able to work within and embrace a result focused, team-based HPO culture Ability to communicate professionally at all times.
Excellent customer service skills.
Ability to work a flexible schedule with shift and work day assignments to support business needs.
