Essential Responsibilities:
Ensure safety performance of the Maintenance DepartmentMeet or exceed established KPIs (leading and lagging indicators)Deploy key initiatives and communicate relevant messages to all maintenance crews at the sitePromote, deploy, and comply with all Safety & Health and Environmental policies, standards, procedures, and regulations across Ledcor and MaintenanceSpend significant time in the field (40-60% of working time) providing "visible felt leadership" and interacting with the workforceProvide employees with a safe and healthy work environment by ensuring the provision of safe systems of work, safe work procedures, adequate training and instruction, and competent supervisionDevelop systems and foster collaboration to ensure the department meets monthly targetsAccountable for Maintenance cost performance, including monthly forecast and variance analysisReview competencies, Scopes of Work, and Schedules of Rates for all Contractors ensuring costs are managed and controlled while complying with Contractor Controls Policies and ProceduresQualifications:
5+ years of experience at a Maintenance General Foreman level or higher in heavy industry2+ years of experience in compiling and/or managing maintenance budgets2+ years of experience in managing the maintenance scheduling and workflow functionExperience with Zero-Based Budgeting systems and processesExperience managing or supervising an equipment reliability programStrong safety record and the ability to work with a variety of individualsAbility to adapt information and communication style to the audienceSkilled at promoting teamwork to establish consensus among team and stakeholdersCapable of identifying key issues and patterns in moderately complex situations and spotting new, less obvious solutionsFamiliar with Mining/Heavy Civil/Infrastructure construction methodology and practicesWork Conditions:
