Maintenance Superintendent EWP

Responsibilities

The function of this position is to provide direction and leadership to ensure the maintenance, repair, and installation of plant equipment and facilities meet department and mill objectives.

Specific tasks/skills include but are not limited to the following: 

Overall responsibility for all maintenance personnel in the facility.  Strong leadership qualities relating to coaching, counseling, and promoting a positive culture. Develops, administers, and manages preventive and repair maintenance programs.  Coordinates the daily activities of hourly mechanical and electrical maintenance personnel through direct reports (mechanical supervisor, electrical supervisor, and planning/scheduling).  Communicates with plant personnel on maintenance issues to aid process improvement. Strong commitment to safety, quality, and environmental awareness.  Assists with supervision, training, and development of all maintenance employees.    Budgeting, and cost management experience.  Extensive preventive maintenance experience. Project management, planning, scheduling, and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication skills. Organizational skills, including attention to detail and follow-up procedures. Ability to facilitate change through continuous improvement.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications: College degree, or equivalent work experience in related job function.

Preferred Qualifications: B.S. degree in Engineering, Science, or related field preferred. More than seven (7) years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred. Prior supervisory or lead person experience in a maintenance environment is required.
